Trade Wings Opens UK Office to Further Penetrate Euro Telecom Market
PORTSMOUTH, NH – January 14, 2009 – Trade Wings, Inc., a global supply chain service provider, has opened a new office in Bristol, England, expanding its European operations to include the UK, Ireland, and other countries. Assigned to the new office is Adam Williams, a veteran telecom adviser with 17 years’ experience in technical sales and marketing. Williams will be further developing the company’s business with European telecommunications manufacturers and carriers.
“I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge of the telecom industry to help Trade Wings continue its success in serving the European market,” says Williams. “My technical expertise and trusted relationship with several carriers in particular allows me to help them target the right solutions in supporting their networks.”
Williams started his career in the IT industry, selling hardware systems to large companies and resellers. He then moved to the Asia-Pacific region to develop trade publications. Following years of rapid expansion, he relocated to Australia to set up trade shows and conferences in the IT and telecom industries. After returning to the UK, he built upon his success in the telecom field by becoming an adviser to a number of Tier 1 operators. Specializing in Nortel, Marconi, Ericsson, and Cisco product lines, Williams has worked for the last several years providing network support and managing stock, deinstallations, and recycling.
“This represents a tremendous opportunity for Trade Wings to extend our service offerings to major telecom carriers,” says Tom Bastian, vice president of sales and marketing. “We’ve already made an impact in Europe with manufacturers’ supply and service chains and are eager to do the same for the operators. I’m excited about bringing senior talent like Adam on board during this growth phase.”
